A wonderful example of the Wānaka A&P Foundation at work!
Thanks in part to a $5,000 Foundation grant, the Upper Clutha Tracks Trust has almost completed the new Hāwea River True Right Track, creating nearly 1.5km of new trail and 4.8km total trail length, improving accessibility for walkers, adaptive bikes and off-road strollers, enhancing river access, and supporting native restoration planting.
We’re excited to see the track officially open in spring and know it will be enjoyed by locals and visitors for years to come.
